Apr 25, 2020 · My function keys are not working for some reason. I usually use the volume function keys and the brightness level function keys, (F3 F4 F6 F7) but none of them are working. I had this problem before, and when I asked for help I found out its because of the update. I updated everything but still not working. I need help please.

I assumed when i saw my F6 buttom glowing it was my camera, so i turned off camera access to my laptop but the button is still glowing how do i get this to go away this is the first time i have noticed the button glowing so i assume it was just turned on. So my question is why is the light glowing and how do i get it to stop from glowing.

May 17, 2018 · Hi, I have a HP laptop and the F6 mute button light is no longer working after the latest Windows 10 update. (its just the light, the mute function still works) Hp have no idea how to fix it. I have the latest audio driver.

I use the F5, F6, F7, F8, F9 keys ALL the time as they pause, slow down, speed up, rewind or fast forward my calls for my work. In my new computer keyboard, those keys ALSO control the volume. The F7 key, which is my pause button for work, is also my mute button on the new keyboard.

May 13, 2024 · Sometimes the screen appears dark - maybe I have reduced it I am never sure but the f6 button won't lighten the screen. I try the f5 to see if somehow they have got swapped but at those times the f5 doesn't do anything. If I reboot the problem is fixed, but shutting everything down is a real pain.

I have recently developed an issue with my laptop. Whenever I press the mute button (f6) the audio is muted, but the little light next to it does not turn on. I have tried updating windows and reinstalling graphics, keyboard, and audio drivers. I have an HP Pavilion 15z Touch.

May 24, 2018 · The speaker mute button has a light that illuminates when speakers are muted. It no longer shows after the latest Windows 10 update of 2 or so days ago. I can find no information on allowing/disallowing this light to function. Worked fine just before the latest update. Is there a parameter that can be adjusted to regain this indicator light?
