Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle recycling has allowed our plastic bottles to be recyclable since its introduction in 1992, but we refuse to stop there. As of May 2024, 100% of new evian bottles* manufactured for sale in the US are made from recycled plastic (rPET).

Currently, 70% ( YTD Sept 2024) of our evian bottles* are made from recycled plastic (rPET), but we’re on a mission to make our plastic bottles* from 100% rPET by 2025. We are confident we can move towards a circular packaging model with the help of breakthrough technology companies like Loop Industries.

This new range of evian bottles, available in France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and the United Kingdom, are now made from 100% recycled plastic*. This plastic, called “rPET” for short, is made of previously used material that was collected and fed back into the recycling loop, cleaned and transformed to then be used to make bottles again.
