VINTAGE F. ESSER & CIA 3 BLADE TRAPPER KNIFE MADE IN SOLINGEN GERMANY. THE KNIFE FEATURES BEAUTIFUL RED JIGGED HANDLES WITH BRASS PINS AND A FEDERAL SHIELD, NICKEL SILVER BOLSTERS, BRASS LINERS 3' CLIP SABER MAIN BLADE, 2" SPEY BLADE AND AWL.

Blade marked F. Esser & Cia./Solingen/Germany. Knife comes from cutlery firm in Elberfeld that mainly exported its knives. Blade moves a little in grip. Grip is missing diamond shape insert. Pommel has nicks and scratches. Blade has scratches and glue.

This Very Rare, Scarce, Fernando Esser & Cia Pocket Knife Multi Tool displays great and would be a great addition to your collection. It's 3-5/8" long when closed and it's well marked.

This Auction is for a FERNANDO ESSER & CIA. POCKET KNIFE SOLINGEN GERMANY, this comes from a collection. It has a horse logo on the blade and on the front next to works. It has a hand tool pattern on the back. I am pretty sure it is stainless. This has been kept wrapped in a velvet case for many years, blades look good.

Feb 1, 2003 · This knife is in good condition with some pitting and scratches on the blade but no breaks or cracks. THe hilt is brass and the curved handle is wood held in place with brass brads. The 10 1/4" blade has the Fernando Esser horse emblem and logo and is also engraved with "Mathilde Ellsworth" surrounded by an etched floral and vine frame.
