EVO vs STi - Subaru WRX Forum
Jan 4, 2008 · The displacement difference of an STi vs Evo (2.5L vs 2.0L would probably mean that on the top end, you'll have more power out of the STi - don't quote me on this, though). Evo is a harsher ride, with an inferior (with exception of seats) interior - though, the interior of both cars leaves something to be desired.
HELP!! Brembo Calipers? EVO & STI are the same??? - Subaru WRX …
Dec 7, 2005 · I believe the Sti and Evo calipers are the same along with the Volvo V70R. My buddy has the V70r and the pad design and dimensions are the same as on the evo. As stated before the difference is the bracket and rotors. - Jim
wrx-sti vs evo 8 - Subaru WRX Forum
Aug 18, 2010 · The evo is going to handle just as good if not better than the STi. They both go for around the same price, but with the STi you'll have a 6 speed with is kind of ideal for saving gas. The evo is faster in stock form, and responds alot better to mods than an STi, but they are both quick. Im not sure but parts may be around the same for both.
Cant decide: WRX STI or EVO X - Subaru WRX Forum
Jan 12, 2011 · The STI would be a more comfortable and practical DD but the Evo can make power easier and cheaper. They can handle 400whp all day reliably and you don't have to worry about breaking anything. They're no more or less reliable that an STI, although there's pretty much zero chance of something like a ringland failure occuring on the Mistu.
EVo Vs. Sti Vs. Wrx??? - Subaru WRX Forum
Feb 20, 2007 · With that said, the EVO IX was a lot better than the EVO 8, so if it comes down to it... 04-06 STi = EVO IX and 04-06 STi > EVO VIII. Personally, i would take the STi, but i would not take an EVO VIII over an STi ever. EVO IX is a clsoe call, but make sure that the one you pick has not been modded a. too much in the past, and b. has not been ...
Old vs. new STi hood scoop | Subaru WRX Forum - clubwrx.net
Aug 12, 2004 · The difference in resale value should tell you one thing. The Evo is not put together as well as the STi! Evo price new is not that far from STi so resale should not be that far off. The lower quality of a Mitsu is what is lowering that value! Sorry I can't help with prices. I am pretty sure you cannot use the old pre 04 scoop in the new 04-up ...
2.5 liter vs. 2.0 liter? sti, evo. - Subaru WRX Forum
Nov 19, 2007 · It just seems to reinforce my theory regarding the STi vs. Evo. The evo seems to be the car that you mod the **** out of and the STi seems to be the car you DONT mod the **** out of and is your daily driver, like my teacher has told me if your going to hot rod, do it on something else. You need something to get from point A to point B.

Motor Trend EVO & STi 1/4 mile times | Subaru WRX Forum
Apr 29, 2003 · I was so excited to read how the new STi would punish the EVO, and then I saw the numbers. Wow. One thing to keep in mind, the comparison made between the STi and the EVO took place at different times, under different conditions, and at different tracks. Even MT admitted this, saying the track the EVO was tested on was a lot stickier.
Maintenance: evo vs sti | Subaru WRX Forum - clubwrx.net
Dec 30, 2006 · I am not sure about evo stuff, but there isnt much maintenance on an STI that you dont have on a normally aspirated subaru. oil changes are typical for all cars, rotate tires, keep your oil level checked (most turbo cars will use some oil after a period of time -- boost usually blows oil past the rings under hard acceleration).
