Dec 27, 2013 · V8 ej207 So we just ordered a v8 EJ207 for a shop project car for testing our twin scroll turbos. I known everyone talks about how bulletproof the V7 bottom ends are bla bla bla, but we wanted the v8 for the twin scroll setup (turbo testing), and the heads.

It's getting down to the last few days before i want to have a motor shipped, but which one should i get? the v.7 seems to be the winner in most cases due to its forged internals, but the v8 has the better heads and a higher compression.

However with 300+ pages its a bit hard to find specific info thought this may be easier for people doing future searches. But, im not trying to cause problems. Can delete this thread if so.

The engine code is: 1999: EJ207DW1PR / 2000: EJ207DW2PR This EJ207 does differ significantly from the newer "Ver 7" EJ207's being it has no AVCS and is an Open deck design(Vs Semi Closed/Closed) They were fitted with the IHI VF28 and VF29 Turbo's.

Jul 5, 2016 · the usdm ej205 based on the jdm ej207 from what i have read and been told. so that means in general the USDM ej205 manuals work so just get your self some ej205 manuals. i DL one for 15bucks. good manual only difference iv noticed is emissions stuff thats not on the jdm engine. one big thing is no valve tumblers on the TGV's !!!!!
