The English Bridge Union Ltd (EBU) is a not-for-profit, membership funded organisation promoting duplicate bridge, and a National Bridge Organisation affiliated to the European Bridge League and the World Bridge Federation.

There are many events organised by the EBU for players who like to take on the challenge of competing against others from outside their own bridge club. Some of these are large national events, while others are more local.

A player’s accumulated holding Green and Local Points is expressed under the collective term of Master Points. The ranks of Premier Master and above require a specified number of the total points to have been converted from Green Points.
