Apr 23, 2011 · I have a Dr. Dr 400 (mid-range model) I got it a few years ago (got a gift card and it was on sale), I don't use it a lot, but it's nice being able to resharpen bits when they go dull. Works pretty well most of the time, just a few turns and it's like a new bit. Occasionally, I'll have to resharpen 2 or 3 times to get a good edge.

Dec 9, 2012 · Most I've seen especially the earlier ones, the springs for the detent fork thingy break and fall into the case, they use a weird cage detent thing, that is inside the case itself. that I've never seen in good shape, most split in the center around the shift pocket. pull the drain plug and see if the springs are down there.

Sep 15, 2012 · We used an company called Axle Dr all the time at the truck shop I worked at, they would come out, had a jig setup that installed right on the axle, would cut the old spindle off, and put a new one on for pretty cheap, axle still bolted in the truck. They did semi trucks for us all the time, but I also had them do a D80 rear one time.
