Oct 1, 2020 · I have a Dolmar ps510 that has me completely baffled. Saw has 160 psi of compression. Excellent spark. A new OEM carburetor and it refuses to run! I get a tiny little pop occasionally on full choke then nothing. I checked the flywheel and key, everything looks fine. I pulled the intake to check for leaks and the impulse line.

Feb 25, 2025 · I have a pretty much brand new Dolmar 510 (maybe 5 tanks of fuel through it) and its having some issues. It will start fine and idle fine but when I am cutting the saw will get bogged down under a load and the chain will stop spinning. It has a brand new chain on it.

Oct 11, 2016 · I have a chance to buy a Dolmar 510 for $125, yet I wince over my previous horrific experience with it's older relative, a now defunct Sachs Dolmar 116si. That saw extracted more than its pound of flesh and many hundred dollar bills! What is the thoughts on the 510? Looks like the power band falls between my 026 and 034AV. Thanks, Reg

Nov 26, 2024 · dolmar 510 vs 5100s March 07, 2011, 03:51:11 PM i just bought a 5100s, and from what i can tell from the specs in the book, the only differences is the saw rpms and weight, the 5100 being 9/10ths of a pound lighter. what did they use in the saw to make it lighter, and will it have any effect on durability?

Jan 7, 2016 · I bought a Dolmar 510, when I bought it I was told it will not start because it floods itself out. I have rebuilt the carb and swapped it with a known good carb from a 5105 I always have plenty of spark, I also tried a new plug, checked the flywheel key, set the coil gap. I also swapped a coil from a 5105. The piston had a scratch in it.

Jan 20, 2020 · I bought a small mill attachment and I have a Dolmar 510 with a 20" bar currently, will a 36" bar fit? If so I am looking for where to get one and the correct size. I am not planning on doing anything on a huge scale just trying to cut some mesquite logs down for personal use.

Aug 6, 2019 · My brother gave me his Dolmar PS 510 chainsaw to fix. It won't start, and hasn't been run in a while. It has spark, fuel is getting to cylinder, as the plug is wet. The starter cord is extremely difficult to pull, even harder than my lawnmower. Just about rips the saw out of your hand, when pulled.
