Jul 18, 2023 · The Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) was established by an Act of parliament in 1964, to provide defence materiel for members of the Armed Forces and other Security Agencies in the country.

The first Technical Partner of the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) was Fritz Werner of Western Germany.

DICON was established in 1964 through an act of parliament in the Nigerian National Assembly. From 2018 to March 2021, Major General Victor Okwudili Ezugwu was appointed as DICON’s director-general. He handed over to the current DG, Gen Maj, Tafida.
