Dec 19, 2019 · I've only noticed one thing that makes them different when looking over datasheets of fluid licensed as Mercon LV or doubly licensed as Mercon LV & Dexron VI versus fluids only licensed as Dex VI , the Mercon LV fluids have a Brookfield viscosity at -40C right around 10,000 cP where as the fluids that are Dex VI only are usually over 12000cP ...

Dec 3, 2021 · Dexron VI is the best fluid for the 6L80E unit, But NO fluid will save the Torque Converter Clutch from wearing out, I highly recommend having it tuned to eliminate the "Constant TCC Slip", While it's only a 10-20 rpm slip differential.....It creates a ton of heat at the Converter Clutch Lining, This breaks down the fluid as well.

May 15, 2012 · Both Infineum and Lubrizol have additive packages that a blender can use to blend anything from a TES-295/Dexron III "compatible fluid" (viscosity wise), to Dexron HP/Dexron VI/KIA/Hyundai SP 4 & RR to ULV ATF. The DI package will be identical. The only things that can be, and are adjusted, are the base oils, VII, and co-bases.
