A Levelawn, Lawn Lute, Leveling rake, or whatever you want to call it, is a tool that is used to help level out areas of the yard. It's useful for top dressing your lawn, moving and leveling gravel, and works better than a landscaping rake when it comes to distributing soil evenly.

A couple of things you should know before I kick off the chronicle: the lute is based on the body of the Tieffenbrucher archlute, C45 in the Vienna KHM, which I have designed as a 21 rib back, and the body will be built of Honduras Rosewood, with European Boxwood spacers.
