Sep 17, 2008 · I solved this problem, the cause was a faulty encoder gear. Thanks for the help in recommending the manual for 55ES, for the fact that it contains a lot of useful information. I bought another SONY DTC-M100 deck.

The Sony DTC M100 is imported by Axis Audio Systems of Stockport and, in appearance at least, is a junior version of the 1000ES. Although it is not billed as a studio standard machine, it may well have its uses for the smaller studio or home recordist.
