DIY amplifier kits, amplifier chassis, hard to find transistors and circuit boards

The amp is a so called Gainclone, using one LM3886 op-amp per channel. The power supply is based on a (way too large) 230VA toroid transformer. It took me about 32 hours to build the amp and power supply. In this Instructable, I'll describe how I made the power supply and amplifier.
