May 31, 2021 · Dab rite followed the instructions of .5 to 1.5 inches below. And honestly even get a different reading within that range on the dab rite. The temp tech sits about an inch and a half to 2 inches at the most below the banger but I held it closer to ser if that was part of the issue and made no difference

May 19, 2023 · Dab rite is really good because of the adjustable arm. I use the octave terptimer because my rig is a bit taller and fits over it with a nice gap so I don't burn out the sensor. Its also a bit cheaper than the dab rite. Terp timer is a non adjustable unit so you have to stack books/rig mats under small rigs to get it above the sensor.
