Mar 19, 2016 · On the input RF coax socket on the TvLink-Plus I currently have my roof top freeview signal. I am using another cable to get the picture from the hdmi splitter which uses and hdmi to cvbs adapter with the TvLink-Plus just handling the magic eye as this was how I had it setup with my Sky+HD.

There are 6 pins on a scart socket totally dedicated to CVBS in and out and stereo audio in/out. Most kit does not switch off cvbs output when outputting RGB. TV's generally have an auto setting for the scart sockets which uses RGB if it's present, if not it uses the cvbs input.

Aug 7, 2019 · Frequently if a TV has two SCART sockets, only one of them will cope with an RGB input (with the three colours on different pins), the other only does CVBS (combined one one pin). Combined will be different for PAL and NTSC, but RGB will presumably be the same. (If a scart socket does S-Video, then it's probably the one that doesn't do RGB).
