Ace: Came out of nowhere and didn't leave a very good first impression (plus people got salty because Regina was being set up to be the next cure). Bonus: Healin Good could have been improved by a lot if Cure Earth didn't exist and the time spent on her was used in the original trio.

Think about it, if Regina was never there, and Cure Ace got the same amount of development, would anyone hate her as much? Probably not. I myself love them both, and think people hating Ace because of Regina is a bit unfair to Ace. I hope haters understand.

Feb 28, 2021 · Oh I love Cure Ace. PreCure tends to make their villian turned Cures not that great imo (aside from Beat). So having Regina not be Cure Ace was a good move. Also, Aguri gets plenty of development afterwards and Regina does eventually become good. So I don't have a problem with how Cure Ace happened tbh.

May 2, 2021 · I loved how, during her fight with Regina, she just stood there, Regina on a tower some big distance away, and suddenly Cure Ace is right in front of her. Also, for some reason I like characters like her or Cure March, whose hair accounts for 50% of their body mass.

Personally, I was quite excited by the mystery behind Cure Ace, and the twists behind her reveal and Aguri as a whole are really engaging! I understand why a lot of viewers were disappointed, but Aguri/Cure Ace is a fun and interesting character despite her surprising reveal.
