Sep 1, 2020 · I will also say that I used to be a young service manager in a Goodyear tire store (decades ago), and replaced many, many tires under warranty. But the "banding" you referred to is really fairly common on radial tires. I wouldn't let that worry me. But I'll bet a dollar to a doughnut that Coker won't hesitate in replacing the tire with a bubble.

Jul 27, 2019 · They made new heavier rims and spokes for the car. The owner is a very respected engineer in the automotive world, and he seemed to like them. He did complain about tube failure from the tube rubbing inside the tire. Seems they solved it using metric radial tire tubes from overseas. Tires were Excelsior brand.

I have done many bicycle tires and a few motorcycle tires in my youth. But tackling five removals and five installs seems pretty daunting.

Even if your vintage bias-ply tires say Firestone or Goodyear or BFGoodrich or any other manufacturer on the side, they're probably still made by Coker. If you need an old car bias-ply tire, it is more than 90% likely that it was made by Coker.

They put all the weights on the inside of the rims. One tire had one weight, the second tire had three weights, the third tire had four weights, and the fourth tire had five.
