3750-x switch is having an advanced feature for rommon recovery. for other switches we used to do xmodem recovery. for 3750-x switch we do not have to waste time like that. follow the procedure, we can set the ipaddress even in the rommon prompt and transfer the image.

Im playing with my 3750 Switch, specifically on VLAN, just got excited and doing some configs on VLAN and trying it out on the real world setup. Right now i'm having trouble on accessing the internet, when i connect my pc to any of the assigned VLAN Ports.

in our cisco 3750 switch if I run the command show mac address-table it shows the mac address table with port chaneel number (po1) not the individul interfaces (ie. gi1/0/1, gi1/0/2, etc...). what is command to show the individual interfaces.

I've got a Cisco Catalyst 3750 and i've wanted to create a subinterface and add it to a vlan for a test. But it seems there is no command to do that. I tought the command 'encapsulation dot1q <vlan>' would do it but the subinterface command list does not show it. Here is what i've tried. Thanks in advance for your help . C3750-1#sh version

Configure bpdu filter on hub like switch ports (3750 fa0/40-48). This will stop hub like ports to send useless Bpdu's. Now you have a nice hub in conjunction with your switch which you can use in your lab work.
