Chor Yuen (Chinese: 楚原), born Cheung Po-kin (張寶堅; 8 October 1934 – 21 February 2022), was a Hong Kong film director, screenwriter, and actor. Chor is credited with over 120 films as director, over 70 films as a writer and over 40 films as an actor.

Yuen Chor. Writer: Sun, Moon and Star: Part 1. His father was a famed Cantonese film actor. After studying in the Department of Chemistry in Zhongsha University for 3 years, Chor joined the movie industry as a writer in 1956. His film debut was "The Soul Stealer" directed by Ng Wui.

Chor Yun started as a script writer in 1956. He directed his first film ''Grass by the Lake'' in 1959. In 1960, he made ''Parents' Love'' which won acclaims from the audience and critics and brought fame to him personally.

Chor was a prolific filmmaker of versatile styles, with famous melodrama (wenyi) titles such as A Man’s Betrayal (Part One and Two, 1962), Rose in Tears (1963), The Mad Woman (1964), Winter Love (1968), The Youth (1969) and The Prodigal (1969).

Chor Yuen was highly productive in his creative career, having directed over 120 films with varied styles. Apart from Cantonese and Mandarin films, he also made Farewell to a Warrior (1976) in Teochew dialect.
