I was wondering when to stop the incubation process because I have some 60 eggs in my DIY incubator, DAY 7 now, very healthy growth but I want to eat a couple.

Feb 15, 2018 · According to Wikipedia it's usually at 14-21 days. Duck eggs hatch at 28 so that would be between the half-way point and three quarters point. If you really wanted to try it you would need to use the chicken eggs between day 10 and 15. On a personal note, I think the cooking of balut eggs is pretty cruel.

Aug 21, 2021 · Making balut would be easy If you have an incubator with calibrated instruments and a source for hatching eggs. I have bought balut eggs from my local Vietnamese grocery store and instead of eating them I actually put them in my incubator and hatched them.

Mar 18, 2012 · I bought 2 balut chicken eggs from my local Asian market. They were still kinda warm when I got them. NOT COOKED! Just warm. I took them home and got them set up in the table top incubator my kids have. I candled them first and they looked like they were at least 13/14 days in (that was 2 Fridays ago).
