For 1965, the van remained largely unchanged. The grille received one additional slot just above the bumper to increase cooling. Seat belts were added. The exciting news for the 1965 model year was the introduction of the Chevy Sportvan and GMC Handi-Bus. Sportvan was a passenger friendly van with windows molded into the van body.

Feb 25, 2013 · The van weighs about 3600 set up for towing, and my 85 Wilderness travel trailer probably weighs a little over 4,000 lbs loaded. Again, no problems over 23 years of towing. Plus, all the running gear has stood up to the tremendous torque of the 292 without breaking.

Apr 8, 2013 · Been driving w a 13" steering and NO Problems (have king pins, suspension and tires/ shocks in order). You need to have the van rolling before attempting any turn/ maneuver. Once the van is van rolling their is no need for power steering. And I do not have "popeye arms". Next you are gonna want power windows and cup holders hmmm.
