Oct 29, 2009 · Cheracol of old was a product of the Upjohn Pharmaceutical Company of Kalamazoo, Mich. It typically contained Guaifenesin (expectorant) and Dextormethorpan (cough suppressant) "Cheracol-D". Back then, it most likely also contained Codeine (used to this day as a powerful cough suppressant). All in a delicious Cherry-flavored syrup base.
