Jul 31, 2024 · I took CellCept for organizing pneumonia caused by Covid last year. I had to stop all of my immunosuppressant medications for RA when I was diagnosed with Covid pneumonia. The CellCept controlled my RA symptoms pretty well while I was on it. I did have to take a prophylactic antibiotic with the medication due to increased risk for infection.
Starting cellcept for scleroderma: How does it work? Side effects?
Aug 8, 2020 · The cellcept is to block the production of white blood cells (WBC) that see my new organs as 'invader' and try to destroy them. I am scheduled for routine labs to monitor my liver and kidney and my overall reaction to the medicine(s).

Nov 3, 2019 · I was initially on both CellCept and tacrolimus then the CellCept was dropped. My creatinine increased from tacrolimus (to the low 140s) so they had me drinking 80 - 100 ounces of water/fluid a day. That didn't bring it down as much as they wanted so they switched me to sirolimus and it has been better since then.
Is anyone taking cellcept for IPF - Pulmonary fibrosis - Inspire
Dec 20, 2013 · I was on Cellcept for about a year. The Pulmonologist told me that in a very small percentage of ILD/Pulmonary Fibrosis patients that the Cellcept actually reduced fibrosis. In a larger group it slowed down the formation of fibrosis. He indicated that it takes 6 to 9 months to begin to see the effects. It is a strong immunosuppresant.

Aug 8, 2016 · The pattern on CT is nsip. For me the cellcept is keeping me more or less stable but my PF is quite progressed with lung function now of less than 30%. Studies are showing that when started earlier in disease progression that cellcept can stabilize and even show improvement with SSc patients. Autoimmune diseases can be challenging to diagnose.
Just started on CellCept the side effects are scary
Oct 10, 2023 · My nephrologist is starting me on CellCept. I am very sensitive to all medications and my anxiety is overwhelming. If my MCD doesn’t destroy my kidneys I fear that the side effects from CellCept might be worse. I currently have no chronic medical conditions other than MCD and osteoarthritis. Please share any side effects from taking CellCept.

Jan 16, 2025 · New Dr put me on extended release Cellcept and I’ve gained back the weight and no digestive issues. Doing much better and living a busy life without O2. 4 + years after diagnosis of lung disease caused by Scleroderma with Antisynthetase Syndrome.

Nov 19, 2014 · I have been on both Methotrexate & Cellcept at the same time. I'm on 2000 mg Cellcept at the present going on over 2 yrs, no Methotrexate right now. My Dr's put me on Cellcept for my lungs & Metho for my joints..I can't speak to the side effects..as I felt so rotten anyway. After my DLCO dropped 21 pts in a yr..my Dr's felt it was crucial.

Jul 31, 2024 · I started noticing improvement then in my mobility. I also have multiple autoimmune, interconnected tissue disease DX's. Just to check to see if it really was the CellCept that helped with my mobility, I went off of it for 3 weeks with my Rheumatologist'approval. My mobility decreased significantly so back on I went. It has been good for me.

It also might be possible for your daughter to switch to a pregancy-safe drug while trying to get pregnant, and during the pregnancy, and then go back to CellCept after the birth.
