Sep 25, 2024 · The silver area does not have raised chrome strips and satin metal in between. It is a flat panel with alternating shiny and satin stripes. But on many models the shiny stripes are actually raised. Edited September 26, 2024 by peteski

Dec 22, 2011 · NONE of todays 1/25th scale car kits are ANYWHERE near the detail and quality of today's airplane kits. And they are twice the scale when comparing to 1/48th scale. When it comes to 1/32 scale airplane kits the difference is even more apparent! Details are very soft in car models compared to the crispness of airplane details.

Sep 23, 2024 · Your model gets more attention compared to others if display it on a mirror, a piece of wood or even on a real carburetor or valve cover. Friend had loaned me a cracked Weinand blower were I displayed a funny car on it. Another idea is to build big models in 1/12 or 1/8 than you get a lot of attention, because the average people just see the size.
