Jul 21, 2010 · I beg to differ. I sold my 5DII for a 6D and ended up with a better camera in most respects. This thread is abut high ISO. Previously I shot landscape astrophotographs at 1600, maybe 3200 with the 5DII. With the 6D, I find that the diference is a full stop, with 3200 equivalent to 1600 on the 5DII and 6400 equivalent to 3200.

Let me suggest that you take out the battery from the camera and clean the contact points in the camera casing, as well as on the battery itself, with a pencil eraser.

Jul 19, 2012 · First frame, no NR, second frame: Luminance 5, Chrominance 18. ISO 16.000. I guess the slightly lower MP count of the 6D really adds to the samples we see here. Congrats, folks. Anyway, I am really happy with my 5D3 although I am looking forward to where Canon will set its high ISO IQ (25k and above) standard about six years from now. 5DV, 6DIII.

Mar 25, 2011 · Pity, quickly switching between Av and Tv mode is really useful, and Canon probably knows this as they've reserved this for the 1d. Personally, my top annoyance with the mode dial on my 60d and 6d is the lack of c modes as Canon uses this to separate their joe sixpack and pro user models.

Definitely get a replacement not a repair as it is so new otherwise the Canon repair will probably keep sending it back to you and finally give you a refurb instead of a new one that you paid for.

Apr 4, 2011 · The 6D is a bit better than 5D3 at 12,800 in terms of noise. After manipulating in Capture One 7 I was able to get them very close however. The 6D shots have a skew towards red visible in the third scene and the 5D3 color balance and renditions look better to me.
