Trying to identify a watch or even the caliber by just the hands and dial alone is next to impossible, especially if the dial has been re-painted (badly) as this one has. A crystal that was too small had been fitted at some time in the past which had failed to make a watertight seal, and over the years water had seeped past the crystal and into the watch.

As mentioned in a separate thread, I'm on the hunt for a no-date gold dress watch, and this one--cased up in a 37mm Dennison--intrigues me. The dial has some speckling, but I don't find it unattractive at all.
