Coll de Dame Mutante - Fig Database®
It is a medium sized, soft skin and jammy flesh with a very defined neck as many of the CDD's signature feature. It develops phenomenal and appealing and colorful stripes unlike any other to almost purple in color as it matures with faint evidences of any striping.

Its one of the more rare CDD varieties and doesnt have the typical inside flesh, it does resemble more of the bordissot variety as Michael mentioned. The Breba was up there in terms of CDD flavor though, probably top 2 Breba i ever ate.

This CdD - Roja is the plant that successfully grew from the 1/2" tall, single budded Cutting that I mentioned in the Extremes in Propagation thread. It has been receiving direct sun up to about noon, and then dappled light from then on, and remains potted in the 5 gal bucket.

Feb 24, 2025 · What an incredible, wonderfully tasty fig! Hands-down the best eating of all of the CdD varieties, when grown in our arid climate. CdD-Blanc is more intensely flavored, but that intensity limits the number that one can comfortably consume at one time. Not so with the Roja... these are bright, sweet, syrupy, berry-licious and addictive!! Doug
