Jan 8, 2015 · I spoke to a GM connection of mine and got the details directly from the chief suspension engineer for the Corvette. As we already know the suspension on Z07 optioned cars (FE7) is stiffer than that on non-Z07 (FE6) cars. Specifically the springs, shocks, MR calibration, and stabilizer bar bushings are different from FE7 to FE6.

Apr 5, 2024 · Took my 2017 C7 GS Z07 in for a differential fluid change. The shop pointed out that fine metal filings were on the magnetized drain plugs. Their advisory was to replace the differential (+/-$10k!). I am the third owner but the car has only 28k miles no wheel cracks tires are good. So was it beat on or tracked hard?

Mar 29, 2015 · C&D or MT just tested a Z06/07 with the CCB's and posted a record 60-0 90ft. Having driven my Z07 for 3,400+ miles (without burnishing) in rain, snow/slush, and below freezing temps, there were no issues with the brakes. They work so well, I seriously wonder what kind of performance could possibly improve with the burnishing process.

Aug 22, 2014 · As for ride quality of the Z07, to paraphrase what I heard is that yes, the Z07 is calibrated differently, but that when Mag-Ride is in touring mode it is not horrible on the street. It is more stiff than the base Z06, but not crazy stiff in tour mode. Basically paraphrasing Harlan, the Z07 rides like someone should expect that sort of car to ride.

Dec 8, 2014 · I owned a C7 Z51 for 6 months before I purchased and received my 2015 Z06. I think both cars drive exactly the same until you push hard on the accelerator. Driving a manual in traffic would be a Pain in the A that being said I would try to get a test drive in an A8 C7. In the end I still think the Porsche PDK would be the better daily driver.
