Borsec (Hungarian: Borszék, pronounced ⓘ) is a town in Harghita County, Transylvania, Romania. The town and the surrounding areas are well known for their spas and mineral waters. It has a population of 2,585, with a majority of ethnic Hungarians (more specifically Szeklers).

Highly appreciated for over two centuries, Borsec mineral water is the proud bearer of the “Queen of Mineral Waters” title, awarded in Vienna in 1873. Sourced directly from the Borsec Springs located in North-Eastern Romania, in the heart of the Carpathian Mountains.

The Borsec Springs are located in North-Eastern Romania, in the Borsec Depression, Harghita County, in the heart of the Carpathian Mountains. The Borsec spa resort lies at an altitude of 900 meters, and the surrounding, vast, coniferous forest provides its beneficial microclimate.

Acquired and reformed in 1997 by Octavian Cretu and Nicolae Palfi, the Romaqua Group outputs 35 million liters per month of its legendary "Regina Apelor Minerale SA Borsec" (Mineral Water Queen Borsec).

Oraşul Borsec este compus din două cartiere: Borsecul de Sus şi Borsecul de Jos. Acesta din urmă se află de-a lungul şoselei naţionale 15 iar Borsecul de Sus se află pe platoul de travertin şi practic aceasta este staţiunea turistică propriu zisă.
