Sep 2, 2015 · THe Black Cow we went to was on Broadway just north of the Pig Stand but before the Gillespie Ford. It was there a long time as my mom and dad went there when they were dating. It was gone by the time I was a teen (1960's). At the time when I was a kid, they had a special brand of root beer but I'm not sure which it was but it was yummy.

The main attraction was root beer in frosted glass mugs served on metal trays hung on car doors by exclusively teenage boy carhops wearing short-sleeved orange woven shirts and white paper folding hats.

Feb 15, 2007 · Lee Summit is safe. I am black and my wife is white and we have had no problems. We have been here for over 2 years. Kansas City is a different problem. My children had poblems in the K.C.school district. Jumped from behind, called names like half breed and some of the black parents mostly mothers you would swear are in the klan.
