Bau Sin has golden green leaves that have pink to purple veination that eventually wrap together to conceal a mild blanched heart. This heart forming trait is entirely unique in spicy mustards that typically have a more open form.

Bau-Sin is a broad-leaved Heading mustard with thick and broad stalks. Dark green leaves and stalks may curl inward and form a head in cold weather. Seeds are sown in late summer for harvest in late fall and early winter. Bau-Sin is very popular in Taiwan and southern China.

A delightful green that will head up like heading lettuce in climates with long cool seasons (spring, fall) and will remain loose-leaf in hotter climates. Mildest when harvested young. We prefer to direct sow. 2-4 w. 3-10 d. Direct sow 1/8"-1/4" deep as soon as soil warms in spring for a spring/summer crop.
