May 31, 2003 · Re: Barrett M82A1 Yes, the M82 should not be considered a precision rifle. It fills a niche for sure, but it's not even close to a 1MOA rifle. I got out of the Army before the M107 was fielded (90s SF we had M82s), so they may have improved accuracy, but it's hard to imagine how you could make the recoiling barrel mechanism any more accurate.

Apr 11, 2007 · Re: Barrett 82A1 Accuracy Expectations or Suggesti From my experience, yes the M107s have a long, creepy, gritty trigger pull but the pull-weight wasn't too bad. As for accuracy, we were only able to shoot them with API (Armor Piercing Incendiary) which was a pretty consistent 2 moa bullet, and with military ball which was anywhere between 5-7 moa.
