Backblaze Versus iDrive Cloud Backup Solutions
Jun 16, 2012 · Backblaze is easier to use and has unlimited storage but lacks disk imaging and zero-knowledge security (i.e., to recover data the user needs to send Backblaze their PEK); whereas iDrive is harder to setup and potentially more costly (no unlimited storage) but does include an unlimited number of devices (not a major issue for me), disk imaging ...
Backblaze - any thoughts? - MacRumors Forums
May 10, 2019 · The big issue, for me, is that Backblaze Unlimited Backup does not backup extended attributes. So when you come to restore files they will have lost their Finder tags along with some other, perhaps less critical, attributes. But do your own test. Better to use Arq and your choice of cloud storage (which can be Backblaze's B2 storage).

Backblaze Versus iDrive Cloud Backup Solutions
Jun 16, 2012 · A brief update. I am continuing to dial in both Arq and IDrive but am leaning towards Arq although it is more work to setup than IDrive and possibly more expensive. Robust online backup? - MacRumors Forums
Jun 7, 2022 · I have about 32GB of data in my ~/Users folder, so 100GB on B2 give me backup versions going back about six months. I also like the using Arq gives me full control of encryption before the data leaves my computer. If you go to the Backblaze website and look in my Bucket, all you will see is a bunch of random folders full of gibberish encrypted ...
