Best Starts invests an average of $65 million per year to support King County families and children so that babies are born healthy, children thrive, and young people grow into happy, healthy adults.

Feb 24, 2025 · Best Starts is investing in the Child Care Wage Boost Pilot. This wage boost will allocate approximately $5 million annually to provide a wage boost to selected child care workers, working with children ages birth to twelve in King County.
