So there's been a lot of people breaking the simulator open lately and one of the breakthroughs is a tool that allows you to easily move aircraft from Flight Simulator X into a configuration and location that FS2020 can access.

Jul 14, 2020 · The Solaris soundstage is deep, placed behind the wall. I don't think this translated well with headphones because soundstages that are too far deep don't exhibit instrument depth localization in headstage. The Burl B2 Bomber's stage is moderately deep, but not so deep that instrument depth is lost with headphones.

Jul 14, 2020 · Burl B2 Bomber DAC THD+N vs Input (dbFS)-8dBu output setting or 12dBu max output (GRN/RED)-18dBu output setting or 22dBu max output (BLU/ORA) The lower output at the -8db setting results in overall higher THD+N (it's the noise floor) than the -18dBu setting, but the distortion harmonics are overall lower and don't climb up as high.

Oct 27, 2022 · There's also bit of that vintage saturation thing going when the signal hits peak levels. (I'm betting a uplift in THD as we get near and toward 0dbFS). A bit like the Burl B2 Bomber DAC, but with the Burl's output level turned down a bit. In terms of presentation, the Zen DAC V2 reminds me most of the Burl.

Jul 14, 2020 · In this case you would use the B2 as the master clock, or “slave” the B2 and the streamer to an external clock, if you have one. If your B2 has the Dante input, then you can set it to use its internal clock and have Dante use that clock. The streamer/source will be “slaved” to the B2 clock. That’s how I use mine when I want to be serious.

Jul 14, 2020 · The overall tonality of the B2 Bomber is slightly warm. By slightly , I mean quite a bit less warm than something like the Bifrost 2. There is a smidgen of outward warmth (give the DAC's output stage a few minutes to warm up) in terms of upper bass to lower mids.

Jul 14, 2020 · The Burl B2 is a very pro oriented DAC, and thus doesn't have any single-ended RCA phono outputs. It only has balanced outputs. The balanced outputs are very hot (pro voltage levels), however, there is a knob that allows you to set the maximum output level at 5 detents ranging only 10db.

Jul 14, 2020 · I have a Burl B2 Bomber DAC and have been listening to it since December 2018 using Dante with the BOPA1 and have upgraded to the BOPA8 by calling Burl and ordering a pair. I'll say your observation is pretty close to mine. The BOPA8 needed a little break in time but it does have more depth and is sharper.
