The Avro 730 was a planned Mach 3 reconnaissance aircraft and strategic bomber that was being developed by Avro Aircraft for the Royal Air Force (RAF). It had been originally envisioned as a very high-speed aircraft to perform aerial reconnaissance missions, conforming with the requirements of Air Ministry Specification OR.330 .

The Hawker Siddeley HS 748 (formerly Avro HS 748) is a medium-sized turboprop airliner originally designed and initially produced by the British aircraft manufacturer Avro. It was the last aircraft to be developed by Avro prior to its absorption into Hawker Siddeley.

Alliott Verdon Roe had his first experience with aircraft design when George Davidson gave him the post of draughtsman on the Davidson Air-Car monoplane he had designed. It was decided to build the machine in America, so Roe went out to Colorado in April 1906 and there created drawings for the Davidson machine.
