Sep 2, 2006 · I picked up the Atari 1200 xl along with 12 games and also the atari 1010 tape recorder and the atari 1027 printer for $20. I do not have much information on this system. I had to get it because I didn't even know that there was an Atari 1200.

Feb 3, 2009 · This also REQUIRES some form of OS ROM upgrade (such as the one listed above) because the stock 1200 OS ROMS do not contain code for dealing with the PBI bus at all. 600XL,800XL,130XE, 800XE, and (non-NTSC)65XE machines all come with a PBI bus a built into the motherboard design from the factory.

Aug 30, 2023 · In terms of the power supply it should be a 9V AC PSU so if you have the original Atari 1200XL one great. If it is a 9V AC 3.4amp 27va PSU then it can also power the 400/800 line of Atari 8-bit computers as well as the 810 and 1050 drives, and 850 interface. Mar 28, 2008 · Larry: I have a 1200XL here that has 'nice' video on a Y/C monitor. It looks like the only changes are to replace L15 and C115 with wire, remove CR20, and add a 1K resistor from pin 11 of the 4050 (U27) to +5v (wired on the bottom of the board).

Feb 13, 2025 · I have ana Atari 1200 with Fujinet and Ultimate 1MB If SpartaDos is enabled on the U1MB then I can't get Fujinet to work. If I disable SpartaDOS then Fujinet boots. I have tried with PBI BIOS enabled and disabled. Any other settings I need to check? Thanks!

Mar 4, 2018 · More interesting from this nonsense comparison (much later Amiga 1200 with 68020 vs. Atari ST ) would be to see how much of original Amiga 500 games work well on 1200 without patches, mods. Possibly nearly all of them work now, thanks to a non-demo, fart-inflated polygon obsessed demo community.
