Founded in 1999 by Mr. D. M. Thilakarathna when his son Vishva Krishan Thilakarathna was diagnosed with hydrocephalus (ජලකපාලතාවය), Ape Lamai provides schooling, vocational training and board for 60 children with disabilities.
