I never seen the Judo flip as abuse, and I've been doing Judo for years. A bunch of Dicks just don't like Percy and Annabeth being together. I can't defend Annabeth's attitude towards Rachel though.

To add on to an earlier post, here is a long post going over how Annabeth's judo flip, play-punches, and other things are not abuse, or even assault, but at worst- roughhousing.
