Jul 10, 2023 · As I mentioned in the introduction, alkyd paints are oil paints that have alkyd resin added to them. This resin comes from plant and vegetable oils, including soya and linseed oils. When alkyd paints are dry, they are tough yet flexible. They are also solvent-resistant.
