Mar 26, 2015 · This isn't really a diorama, but it doesn't 'fit' anywhere else. The kit is the Airfix Control Tower and it comes with three figures, no windows and and empty interior. I added "glass' to the windows, blacking out those on the first two floors. I also added checkered linoleum in the controllers area on the top floor.

Feb 8, 2014 · The Airfix kit has many problems with accuracy, fit, as well as detail. (Thankfully we now have a few choices in 1/48 Prowlers and I will eventually get around to one of those newer releases... but back in the 80's this one was the only game in town that I was aware of.)

I have that boxing and the newer red boxing. The instructions and decal sheet in the red box are far superior, but, we build what we got!

Mar 28, 2018 · I haven't seen the Airfix Walrus, but my method of rigging 1/72 models has always entailed drilling holes and threading nylon monofilament ("invisible" thread, smoke color) through the holes. With proper planning, you can run several rigging wires using one length of thread.
