Airfix new tool MiG-17F - Jet Modeling - ARC Discussion Forums
Feb 2, 2019 · Airfix art work shows it as having a black or very dark under side with very consistently and in orderly manner applied mottling camo. But what is far more interesting. The real 3020 had the late version of ejection seat with the “face curtain” big head box. Airfix CAD images show us the early small MiG-15 type ejection seat.
F-86 kits? - Jet Modeling - ARC Discussion Forums
Nov 20, 2022 · I've built a number of both, as well as the Monogram F-86F, F-86D and the ESCI thing - all in 1/48. In order of accuracy and finesse, I'd say the ESCI is last (it's awful), followed by the Monogram F-86F (reboxed as all sorts of things), then the Airfix F-86F/Sabre 4, the Academy F-86F, the Monogram F-86D (awesome kit, despite its relative age) and top of the pile, the …
Airfix's 1/72 original C-130/AC-130 kit - ARC Discussion Forums
Feb 10, 2009 · Hi folks, While buming around in my favourite hobby shop, I managed to pull off an old Airfix 1/72 C-130 Hercules kit, the original Airfix mould featuring brown sprues and RAF/Saudi markings, which I understand was later permanently modified to AC-130U Spectre standard.
Airfix 1/72 SPAD VII - Aircraft - IPMS/USA Forums
Jan 14, 2025 · Thanks Chris! I actually do have paint on the little torpedo boat. I did do some more detail painting later which needs to be shown. Congrats on finishing up your HMS Tiger; she is another tremendous job well done! Good luck Brian, I'm looking forward to seeing pics soon.
Airfix airfield control tower - Dioramas - IPMS/USA Forums
Mar 26, 2015 · This isn't really a diorama, but it doesn't 'fit' anywhere else. The kit is the Airfix Control Tower and it comes with three figures, no windows and and empty interior. I added "glass' to the windows, blacking out those on the first two floors. I also added checkered linoleum in the controllers area on the top floor.
Airfix 1/48 Supermarine Spitfire PR.19 - Critique Corner - ARC ...
Dec 20, 2021 · Hello All, My eighth and final completion for 2021 is Airfix's 1/48 Spitfire PR.19. Not the best kit, with some significant fit issues, poor quality moulding and rather over-emphasised panel lines, but pretty accurate by all accounts and a …
Who does the best 1/72 Alphajet? - ARC Discussion Forums
Aug 4, 2007 · Title says it all. Ive checked out the Definitive 1/72 Scale Model Census, and they only reference the Heller and Airfix kits, which made me wonder why they left out the Fujimi offering, which I would presume to be of high accuracy and quality. Im looking for structural and dimensional accuracy, ...
Airfix 1/48 EA-6B Prowler - ARC Discussion Forums
Feb 8, 2014 · The Airfix kit has many problems with accuracy, fit, as well as detail. (Thankfully we now have a few choices in 1/48 Prowlers and I will eventually get around to one of those newer releases... but back in the 80's this one was the only game in town that I was aware of.)
Airfix 1/144 Shuttle Orbiter - Real Space Modeling - ARC …
Oct 29, 2016 · The Airfix decals on top, JBOT decals on the bottom. I'll use the cockpit windows from JBOT and mix and match the others. Looking good Pete. You have an older boxing of the Airfix kit. I have that boxing and the newer red boxing. The instructions and decal sheet in the red box are far superior, but, we build what we got!
Airfix 1/48 Walrus, best method for rigging? - IPMS/USA Forums
Mar 28, 2018 · I haven't seen the Airfix Walrus, but my method of rigging 1/72 models has always entailed drilling holes and threading nylon monofilament ("invisible" thread, smoke color) through the holes. With proper planning, you can run several rigging wires using one length of thread.
