Aug 28, 2006 · Either one, the L570s, or the L570/II will typically sell within the range of $50 to $75 dollars, but recently a pair went for around $150-175, if I recall. The L570 is a great speaker. I use them alongside some 3-way L630 ADS speakers.

Oct 1, 2010 · I have a pair of Polk monitor 5jr's and a pair of ADS L570/2's. my 5jr's have the later SL-2000 mylar dome tweeters, so they can sound a bit bright depending on what they're connected to. The ADS 570/2's have a nice tweeter. They image well. The bass could be a bit better controlled.

Oct 6, 2020 · Getting the ADS' is the end of a really strange story of two failed attempts to buy some other speakers. I bought some Optimus 5Bs for a good price off of Ebay from the original owner and when I got them, they died of fright on the way to me.

Dec 16, 2020 · I find the ADS to be just a tad forward with the treble but turning down the treble on the amp just a notch takes care of that. The ADS seem to have a have flatter frequency response (I'm guessing) but the Jamos have what seems to be a bit of a bump in the higher bass frequencies and the midrange, which I'm accustomed to and I like.

Mar 2, 2012 · Those ADS L570's are in the black vinyl style. My last trade was finishing surfaces in all kinds situations. (I did do a little custom finishing on a vinyl substrate but truth is I only felt comfortable doing it in areas that had little possibility of wear and tear or forced into it for budgetary reasons with a customers acceptance.)

Oct 22, 2004 · I don't know what exactly happened with ads, they produced some of the most well designed/engineered speakers of that time period and are still coveted today by many audiophiles. BTW it seems to me that the best Analog and Digital Systems speakers used the ads (all lower-case) logo rather than the later A/D/S moniker.

Oct 13, 2018 · Obviously sound is king, and the ADS speakers deliver there. The tweeters are very nice, open and airy without any sense of harshness, or artificial hype to the highs. The woofers are thankfully rubber on most models, meaning you can avoid a refoam. The bass is typical east coast tight sound.

Aug 15, 2009 · Yes but they did not leave much of an impression. They aren't bad but that aren't great either. Main sound-stage duty wasn't really their task. Originally sold with the ADS Model 10 signal delay, they are probably the closest ADS came to making a really cheap speaker. Like any speaker, it comes down to if you are happy with them.
