Adam Jonathan Kuper (born 29 December 1941) [1] is a British social anthropologist. Kuper was the son of Simon Meyer Kuper and Gertrude Hesselson. [2] . Born in Johannesburg, [2] he attended Parktown Boys' High School and took his first degree at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg.
