Need info on ABHR supps - Hospice, Palliative - allnurses
Mar 8, 2005 · The hospice that I used to work for used 1 mg ativan, 25 mg benadryl, 1 mg haldol, and 10 mg reglan. It worked great. Unfortunately the hospice that I currently work for is very cheap and not very innovative. The only compounded medication that we generally use is ABH gel and it is used mainly for agitation. I don't like it very much.

Oct 5, 2006 · Ive been using it in hospice for at least 2 years. You can also use phenergan ,haldol and ABH (ativan ,benadryl and haldol) in the form of a topical gel. I use this more with combative residents than hospice (but I still use it somewhat frequently) because we use intensol (which is so much better)

Nov 2, 2002 · A compound med that can be made at a special pharmacy is ABHR: Lorazepam (ativan) 0.5mg/Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) 12.5mg/Haloperidal (Haldol) 0.5mg/ Metoclopramide (Reglan) 10mg. Mar 27, 2006 · Our hospice pts have responded extremely well to compounded medications to help with pain & anxiety. Ativan/Benedryl/Haldol (ABH gel) works fantastic and is absorbed thru the skin over the carotid. mso4 can also be compounded and applied this way.

Jul 17, 2005 · excuse my ignorance by what is dcn? i agree w/txspadequeen that out of all remedies out there, i use mso4 and ativan most liberally, along w/haldol if the ativan doesn't work. whenever i see terminal restlessness, i need to first rule out pain; second is constipation.

Aug 16, 2005 · Singularly, these 3 drugs are not primarily given for nausea. Ativan and haldol can be given as an adjunct (added to other medications) to prevent nausea and vomiting usually in patients receiving cancer chemotherapy.
