Feb 23, 2024 · Stefan Will - great Carvins that do a ton of Pink Floyd and others (Legacy 3 hi gain). Waraba - AC/DC tones and tons more Burningyen - more Pink Floyd specific D. Randall - Frampton, Trower Mark J. Miceli - great Princetons, good SRV The rig packs that come with the Kemper are really good too like the Kemper Legacy Rig packs.
Klon vs. Tim vs. RC Boost vs. ??? | Page 2 - The Gear Page
Jun 16, 2008 · I find that the Klon into a low gain or clean amp adds a ton of mids, but for some reason I don't understand, this evens out and becomes more musical when the amp is driven harder, or is is stacked n front of a zendrive, eternity, etc. Also, those Klon mids work wonders on a strat neck pickup. I agree with all other comments above re RC and Timmy.
What to expect: JCM2000 DSL100 in the backline | The ... - The …
Aug 22, 2017 · Lead 2 brings a ton of gain and low mids. Here's the trick to that mode: set a TS or SD-1 to boost (gain low/off, volume up and tone to taste) and run the actual channel gain at about 2-3 tops. You won't need more than that.
DSM and HUMBOLDT Simplifier DLX vs Simplifier Classic: Is It …
Aug 1, 2021 · The Crunch setting takes it from there, and ups the ante. The grind is both articulate and granular. Its the tone of a pushed amp that hasn’t started to collapse. The distortion isn’t quite as compressed and there is still a vibrant top end to it; great for rhythm playing, double stops, and single lines. It really nails the AC/DC thing!
Alternative for an Xotic AC Booster - The Gear Page
Sep 16, 2017 · The Xotic AC Booster has been my main overdrive for the passed 3 years or so. I really like it a lot. It's a good overdrive as well as very versatile. It can do pretty much anything within reason and I've grown fond of the active EQ on these Xotic pedals and it makes them hard to beat as far as versatility and tone shaping.
Best High Gain Presence without Fizz | Page 3 | The Gear Page
Aug 15, 2017 · The SLO has a smoother overdrive with good sustain that is a result of compression. The Wizard has a more open crushed glass type of overdrive that doesn't compress much and not as smooth. It wouldn't be good for VH tones but great for AC/DC. The Wizard keeps they open AC/DC tone even dialed in for much more gain than they would use.
Are the Marshall Origin 50 worth buying? - The Gear Page
Jun 16, 2020 · I’ve yet to hear a decent fat Marshall tone out of an origin. There’s an inherent “cheapness and thinness” to all that I’ve heard and I’ve listened to a ton. Sorry not trying to offend. Now I’ve tried both 20 w and 50w combos in person and liked them. I’m referring to …
Positive Grid Spark Streaming Volume - Bluetooth or Aux In
Feb 24, 2020 · I very unscientifically compared the 2 using a SPL meter. At about 6 feet away with the meter in the same spot, using Bluetooth, and with each amp side by side, they both showed about 82-84db while playing the same segment of an AC/DC song. I even played the song from the same iPhone so it was 100% identical.
Kendrick Amps: Any Love Out There? | Page 2 | The Gear Page
Dec 26, 2013 · I play a Les Paul, and with my Xotic AC Boost and Wampler Faux Spring reverb pedals, I've come as close to my target Live Cream Vol. 1 tone as any combo amp has ever gotten me! Though the amp weighs a ton, it has been a worthwhile effort, in that I have beautiful cleans, and with the pedals, very satisfying overdrive and reverb.

Oct 17, 2012 · ^that sounds like a ton of fun! I've got a Diamond J-Drive Mk3 on the way from Israel. Deciding if I'm gonna pick up a Memory Lane Jr myself or if I'm gonna go for the Quantum Leap, or if I'm gonna get a POG2
