Oct 18, 2023 · I’m getting this A559 fault code which I believe means there is insufficient voltage to power everything so certain circuits are automatically disabled. I recently replaced the battery so I don’t think it can be the battery.

Jan 13, 2014 · It may refer to the IBS reporting a low battery SOC (State of Charge) to the DME. The DME and IBS then shut down one of the load centers ("hotel" loads) to ensure sufficient voltage is available for starting the engine. I'm more familiar with the E60, but I believe the E9x has a similar power distribution scheme.

Aug 3, 2014 · Can anyone shed any light on what " Instrument cluster, shutdown/terminal shutdown code 00A559" is all about ? Managed the stop/start coding within minutes ... Not sure it was worth £38 but as I get more confident I might try some more.

Feb 5, 2016 · A559 - Battery drain terminal 30G-F switched off due to unfavourable driving profile I have read lots of info over the last 1.5hrs and learnt a little about IBS (intelligent battery sensor) leads, MPM (micro power module), KGM (body gatway module), reprogramming (which I still do not understand).

Jun 25, 2019 · There might be a code in CAS if the Starter would NOT engage, but if it's cranking the engine but NO fire, then one would expect a fault code in either the DME (Engine Control Module) or the EKP (Fuel Pump Module)

Mar 16, 2022 · All this time, I had the CTEK charger hooked up, so was expecting to keep a stable voltage. A few minutes later, I notice the battery drain message pop up on the display (A559 again). About 30 min. later, I measured the terminals, and the voltage had dropped to 12.0V and below.

A559 Dashboard: Voltage supply has been switched off (standby current cutoff relay) If the battery and also charging system (alternator) can be ruled out and working properly, we are possibly looking at a "parasitic battery drain".

Today looking for codes i got A559 KL30_f. I'm not sure my connections are right. I have been using a cheap black and decker battery tender charging using the front port/negative strut tower bolt in order to keep it charged since I only drive the car once week.

Jun 22, 2019 · I'm guessing its an electrical issue that requires coding as I hear the SMG pump priming just fine and it will shift into first gear while the ignition is turned on. I went ahead and pulled all the codes. they are cut/pasted below.
