Jun 25, 2013 · A quick google search would answer this for you. 9mm Luger, 9mm parabellum, and 9x19 are all the same thing. 9x18 or 9mm mak (same round) will not work, along with 9mm kurz (9mm short or .380 acp iirc) or 9mm largo (9x23mm). I've always found wiki a good place to start looking at rounds.

May 15, 2018 · Would it make sense to cut 9x19 down to 9x17, or would I just be ruining good 9x19 luger cases? I could just buy more factory loads in 380ACP to get the eventually reloadable brass, but that stuff is 40% costlier than 9MM.

Sep 3, 2011 · Of course you can trim a 9x19 case to same length as a 9x17. However, the 9x19 is a very tapered case with a case head diameter of 0.394", while the 9x17 is much less tapered and has a smaller case head. It "might" work, but why ruin good brass?
