Feb 13, 2012 · All years have pro's and con's. The EVO like the TC was in a constant state of change. The later years seem to be some of the better. No year is especially bad depending on price. Just make sure you look around and get a good idea on price vs value. There are lost of good deals and some will cost more in the long run.

When checking temps on a 120 Ultima last year his was about 270* F just as he rolled into a parking space, while my 94 evo motor head temp was climbing to about 325* after being off for a short while.

Sep 23, 2005 · First, don't switch to synth just to extend your oil change intervals. Many people do. You should still change the oil and filter at least every 5,000 miles. My choice is Lucas Hi-Perf synthetic. Mobil One is also good. There's really not much difference in most synth oils.
