Dec 29, 2013 · I recently had a problem with my car stalling when warm and not starting at all until cooler. This was the crank position sensor. Now the car will not start without starting fluid. When starting fluid is used, the car will start and then run fine. Once you shut it off then try to start it, same thing. The fuel pump turns on when key is in on …
Do mechanics avoid expensive vehicles? - Car Talk Community
Oct 8, 2024 · I’ve met several car mechanics and made great friends along the way in the car industry, and I’ve also observed to the brand and kind of vehicles they drive. And, maybe it’s just me, I noticed mechanics often drive pretty basic vehicles which leaves me to wonder: Do they avoid expensive vehicles like a plague? I do not know a single mechanic who owns a Mercedes, BMW, Range Rover ...
Cigarette Lighter Adapter Broke, Replacements Sold Out Everywhere
Sep 23, 2022 · Hi I have been using an Insten Two-Way Cigarette Lighter Socket Splitter to fit my Craftsman tire inflator into my car’s cigarette lighter receptacle. Later that day there was a small puddle of coolant under the engine so I ...
What temp should an engine run at? - Car Talk Community
Dec 17, 2009 · My car is a 98 ford, my temp gauge goes about half way when I first start the car in the morning or after it has sat for many hours. Once there it will drop down and be maybe a little under that. So I guess my engine temp is where it should be. Why don’t they list like 100-200-300 and such and that way you would have a better grasp.
Brake pedal goes to the floor only when the engine is running
Apr 9, 2020 · I have a 99’ GMC Yukon Denali. Recently the brake pedal started going to the floor but only when the engine is running. If I turn the vehicle off the pedal will pump up and stay firm. I wedged something between the seat and brake pedal to keep pressure on the system. Looked all around and no leak. The pedal never “fades away” if the engine is off. I …
