May 13, 2014 · There is an orthodoxy about pop history that edits out so many of the high points just because they don’t fit… Mud are typical of this- often derided as not being ‘cool’ and are ceremoniously dumped as the outsiders of glam rock.

For a short time in the ’70s , Mud were a permanent fixture in the UK charts with three chart toppers and a steady flow of smashes .

May 18, 2023 · On July 21, Mud gets proper recognition via 7Ts ( Cherry Red UK) with a richly filled 3CD box set that will feature 61 tracks. That includes all of the band’s singles released over seven years. That period fills the charts from 1973-1980.
